A Note on Cover Stamps on Patterns

If you take a look at a Textile Outpost cover, you might see a large stamp we’ve designed in the top left corner.

These clearly state what style of quilting construction is used.

Patterns with the green FPP stamp are completely Foundation Pieced with no alternate piecing instructions.

Golden EPP stamps are English Paper Pieced patterns. These will require English paper pieces and hand sewing to complete.

See a pattern available with no stamp in the corner? (For example: The Cabin Chick pattern above.)

These patterns are traditionally pieced. Some (like Cabin Chick) include small options for foundation piecing small sections but traditionally pieced alternatives for these sections are always included.

Notes about whether there are any FPP options are always listed on the quilt covers.

If the bottom of the cover only says “A Pattern from Textile Outpost” with no additional notes, then it is a fully traditional piecing experience.
